By Popular Demand: An Independents Map 213 artists, curators and gallerists have now been emailed with directions as to how you can upload images and texts to the on-line events catalogue and index of artists. The same information may be found in the FORUM. There is no deadline for your uploads, but the sooner you do so the sooner we can promote them to the public. A number of artists have called for a paper guide with map to be available in the week beginning 11th September when the City throngs with art-lovers. This will be done using the information you have uploaded to this site by noon on August 29th. Uploads received after this date will be published on the website only. Registered: 11 Jul : 13:42 | Is this the same as the map on the site? There are errors in the index of venues. 4 venues are listed as 19. St. Nick's Church should be 31, the Royal Standard should be 30, i think number 32 is missing also. Please tell me that this has not been printed without being checked - why was there no opportunity to allow artists/ venues to check their details? How many other mistakes will there be? |

Art in Liverpool Digital Art Show
Exhibition is planned to take place as part of the 2006 Liverpool Biennial. Entry is open to all worldwide Digital Art for the purposes of this exhibition is defined as artwork that has been entirely or at least substantially created using computer software. e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, Flash, 3ds Max, Maya, Bryce etc. We do not want animations, video or photography though such elements could, we suppose, be used as part of the creation process. IN ANOTHER PLACE Call for entries for photography exhibition As Antony Gormley’s iron men sculptures near the end of their long stay on Crosby Beach more and more people are photographing each other with the life-size statues. Some confront the sculptures; others treat it as a member of the family. The sculptures have been dressed up, occasionally some poseurs have almost matched their nudity!
The Independents wants to exhibit your affectionate, witty and wacky photographs. If you have been in another place with one of Gormley’s men send the picture to the Independents Biennial, 67 Greenland Street, Liverpool L1 0BY / 0797 661 0581 / \n
