Environmental Performance is a project that explores the human impact on our environment. Environmental Performance @ Liverpool European Capital of Culture highlights the disposable culture that characterises Europe in our times.

Àgata Alcañiz is an artist from Barcelona based in Salford, north west of England. She has devised Environmental Performance project which belongs to the category of New genre Public Art.

The project explores the human impact in our environment through what Àgata has termed environmental performances. These are site-specific performances that give attention to spaces where large amount of waste is visible or generated, as the project considers waste the ultimate expression of our society. Analysing waste, our environment and by extension our culture, society and economy can be examined.
