Becs creates environments for all kinds of live performance. Originally training as a film-maker, she incorporates ideas that use light, illusion, scale, historical reference and humour. Solo projects include including a giant pinhole camera containing live dancers at BAC, and a fake archaeology of Edge Hill Station.

Becs has exhibited her work in the V&A Museum, the Royal National Theatre, represented the UK in the 2007 Prague Quadrennial, and exhibited in various group shows.

She won the prestigious Linbury Prize in 2003 and her first commission, Jeff Koons by ATC opened at the ICA and went on receive national critical acclaim. Becs trained at Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art and Wimbledon School of Art and is based in the Royal Standard.
