Exhibition: 4 artists will work in pairs on 2 consecutive shows & they will be on show to the public throughout |
| Viewing | | 31.10.08 & 14.11.08 - 18.30-21.00 | | Artist(s) | | Artists will be revealed to the public and one another 2 weeks before the first exhibition. | | | | Brief Encounters will open the usually private environment of practice and preparation for a show to public scrutiny, exposing the mechanics of a show whilst providing an analysis of the terms of engagement in collaborative projects themselves. Artists with different working methods that have never worked together before will be introduced two weeks before the show begins and they will work in collaboration or in reaction to one another for the first week before the resulting work will be on show for a further week. During the preparation period people will be invited to visit the show in progress and times when the artists are on site will be advertised on the website. At the end of each of the two shows there will be a discussion with the artists involved and the public, these will be themed around creative response to the encounters that happen along the way to producing an exhibition. | Venue Details
