The works produced have been in response to the experience of working over a period of time in these two strikingly different architectural sites of worship.

‘Oratory’ Is a work inspired by the architectural space of Liverpool Cathedral and includes a floor plan of the smallest church in Europe. The work references questions about the way worship is practised, including: communal-v-private devotional practice, and conspicuous splendour-v-rejection of material comforts and adornment.

‘Borderland’ utilises the vast architectural height of the Anglican Cathedral as metaphor for the gap between the known (earthly and empirical) and the unknown (spiritual and transcendent).

‘Meniscus’ Using food, text and installation, this work explores the point at which scientific reasoning and spiritual belief diverge.
