Our practice is to encourage a collaborative or dialogical practice, using, for example, face-to-face or online dialogues, events or collaborative visual editing environments. The 7th Shanghai Biennale runs concurrently with the Liverpool Biennial. Its theme is Translocalmotion, focusing on people and their conditions in a dynamic urban space, whilst in contrast, the Liverpool Biennial theme MADE UP is a reaction to the pervasive documentary focus of much contemporary art. On the 4-5 October in the Bluecoat “Hub”, we will instigate a process to see how an exchange of critiques of the respective Shanghai and Liverpool Biennial internationals can generate new work, collaborative or otherwise. We will follow this process on our website and blog through to early November when we will present a digital version of the new work at the Bluecoat. | Venue Details
